Hannah Black is the assistant coach for the women's TCU rifle team, her alma mater.
Black was a four-year member of the TCU Rifle team from 2012-16. TCU qualified for the NCAA Championships all four years she was a member of the squad. As a freshman, Black qualified as an individual in air rifle and fired a 594 to earn a spot in the finals and ultimately finished fifth overall. In her final three seasons on campus, Black was one of the five shooters at the championships helping TCU to a sixth place finish in 2014, a third place finish in 2015 and a second place finish in 2016.
The sport psychology major's emergence on the National Team and 2015 Pan American Games Team stemmed from a great performance at the 2015 Rifle Selection Match, which included her shooting a 591, one off the pace of the world record.
Hannah is also adept in the pistol discipline as a four-time state champion in air pistol. Her brother, Josh, was a rifle shooter for Ohio State University. Hannah got her start in the sport following her dad to the range where she didn't want the boys to beat her.
